2009 is all about Attitude

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude ... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you ... we are in charge of our Attitudes."

- Charles Swindoll

I'm choosing to enter this new year with an optimistic, energetic and open minded attitude.

What attitude will you choose?

Happy New Year! I wonder what crazy things 2009 has in store??

I try to live by a few guidelines.
1. I am powerless over people, places and things.
2. I try to stay in my day within that 24 hour window of opportunity
3. I am only responsible for what is on my side of the street.
4. Visualize a road in front of you with the yellow line down the center. I try to walk down that center line. Life moves past me on the right and left. But it is up to me which part of that life I will engage at any given moment of the day. I can keep walking and ignore that moving past me, or I can engage it at some point.
5. Yes it is all about attitude. I think you have a good attitude and I feel that good things are coming your way in the near future.

Remember to pay attention to people on the path with you. Share your water, bread and food with them - they are there to teach you something about yourself and about them. Pay attention to the little things. Always consult your map when necessary. Life is about the journey not the end point.
