Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

I thought that I would mention that I am featured in this weeks 'Macleans' Magazine (see my little picture in the left hand corner of the cover?!?! Apparantly Jesus is having an identity crisis as well...poor guy!). I haven't seen the article yet, but I'm thinking it's a gooder. Macleans doesn't publish crap! Also, I'm hoping the photo is awesome because one of Canada's best photographers, Christopher Wahl, came by the gym and took some wicked shots.

OK, now run out to your local convenience store and pick it up...hurry!!!!!! Go! You've got to get a copy before they're all gone!

Cheers,
Kyle

Hey Kyle. I read a post on Simon Whitfields Blog about you called "A letter to Kyle" by Scott Russell, CBC Sports Weekend. Wow. An amazing read. I hope you post it on here. For those who want to see it, you can find it at http://simonwhitfield.blogspot.com/

Kyle! I read the Maclean's article yesterday in the doctor's office, while waiting to get my wisdom teeth removed. I wasn't all that happy about getting my teeth out, but reading your article was really cool and made me feel better. I had a good chuckle when you commented on living with your parents for as long as you can!! I'd like to wish you the very best of luck, and no matter what happens, you have to be proud of yourself for fighting back, and never giving up. I am rooting for you, and hope it all works out!

Hi Kyle,
I just read your article in Maclean's. I am so pumped that Maclean's is covering athletes on their way to the Olympics. I am a winter Olympian and am so happy that you "summer sport" athletes are getting your very deserving attention! As my brother told me after my knee surgery, "a setback is just a set-up for a comeback!"

Hey kyle, just read the column in Macleans, it does you justice, your an amazing athlete, and an increadably motivated individual. I am looking forward to watching your preformance at the olympics. I joke around with friends about how you used to put your feet behind your head at recess. lol, i believe you called it 'stretching'. I still grimis thinking about it. Well, i wish you the best, and will be rooting for you!

God Bless,
Brant Prunkl

Kyle, I found out about your blog from the Macleans article. Read all ur entries from last August. u have no idea what a fantastic inspiration u are to me!

Am recovering from a badly fractured wrist in Jan., both bones broken and splintered, bone chip--2 plates and a pin. Cast on for 3-1/2 mos. and have splint now, but am in that difficult physio phase--u know ... "green light - red light". Was becoming very despondent. Your rehab journey has given me so much inspiration and determination u cannot believe! U are a true Olympic Champion and always will be, an incredible role model! I love the Olympics and look forward to seeing u as part of the team--GO CANADA! U have every right to be proud of all u have accomplished--u are doing the seemingly impossible, u know. I wish u the very best at the Olympics and in all your future future endeavours.
